Santa Maria da Feira

It is a city and a municipality in Aveiro District. The population in 2011 was 139,309, in an area of 215.88 km². Administratively, the municipality is divided into 21 civil parishes. It is part of the Greater Metropolitan Area of Porto.

Santa Maria da Feira is a heavily industrialized municipality and is famous for its several cork transforming and shoe factories.

Santa Maria da Feira boasts one Portugal´s most beautiful castles, an excellent congress centre – Europarque – and the António Lamoso Cine-Theatre, which hosts an extensive quality annual cultural programming.
